Ereaders. Ereaders are very popular. Especially in these times. Have you noticed that the ads are everywhere for them? So you probably own one or will be getting one soon. Of course, the major sellers of these items, such as Barnes and Noble (they make the Nook), will have you buy protective cases such as nook cases and nook accessories separately. Other accessories light book lights come in very handy. They can be attached to your ereader cover and allow you to enjoy reading in any kind of lighting situations. Remember the most popular ereaders are not backlit.
Tablet PCs (eg, iPad). The netbook was the hottest item to have a few years ago. Now it’s being replaced by the iPad and other tablet PCs in trendiness. The iPad is very useful as it allows the user to web browse and do any number of actions (like play games) with the many applications (apps) that are available in their itunes store. However, the netbooks have an advantage with having a real keyboard. Students will type faster on a real keyboard in contrast to the virtual one created where you have to tap away. Speed is important when you are writing up book reports, class reports, etc.
Smart phones including the iPhone. iPhones are so popular currently because it does so much more than allow yourself to make phone calls. iPhone and all the apps that go along with it creates a very useful mini computer that you take with you everywhere. It’s very convenient to chat with friends, text friends, and play games all at the same time. Smart phones are only going to become more powerful. The barrier with them is to extend the life of batteries. It seems that phones should be able to do a lot more with less frequent charging.
